Sophia Vigeant ’19
English and Hispanic Studies Major
- Noella Vigeant Photography
Sophie is from the small rural town of Tomales, CA, where she lived all of her life before starting college at Lewis & Clark College. She chose LC because of its intimate size and close professor-to-student academic relationships, as well as the college’s commitment to studying abroad. She loves reading, cooking, traveling, attending concerts and live music events, doing crossword puzzles, and being outdoors (hiking, camping, & trekking).
Sophie is a double major in English and Hispanic Studies, and spent her most recent semester abroad in Valparaiso, Chile, where she had plenty of opportunities to strengthen her Spanish-speaking skills and broaden her horizons through international travel. Outside of SAA, Sophie works for the Admissions Department at LC as the Tour Guide Fellow, is an editor for the LC Journal for Social Justice, and is involved in FIT Club and the Student Academic Affairs Board.
