What three words would you use to describe L&C?

Beautiful, Challenging, Supportive

What has been your favorite class so far? How did it expand your knowledge?

Social Psychology with Assistant Professor Bill Cole. This class challenged me academically and forced me to step outside of my comfort zone. It expanded my knowledge because it allowed me explore many social aspects that I never knew existed. I am now able to apply the things that I learned into the real world when interacting with others.

What made you want to come to Lewis & Clark?

I wanted to play football and receive a great education. Going to school on a beautiful campus and being close to downtown Portland also helped convince me to choose L&C. I love the small classes and the personal attention I get from my professors and coaches.

What is life like for a student-athlete at a DIII school?

It is a balance between academics and athletics. You have to learn how to be competitive in the classroom and on the field. You also learn how to make sacrifices in order to be successful in everything that you do. It is a very rewarding process.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

South campus or Pamplin Sports Center.

What’s your favorite thing about living in Portland?

The people and the food.

What’s your best Lewis & Clark memory so far?

Spending time with my teammates.

How do you manage stress?

Working out or hanging out with my friends.

Do you have a job on campus? If so, how do you fit work into your schedule?

I work for the Dean of Students office. They let me choose my hours so that it fits my academic schedule.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Take all aspects into account when picking the right college for you. Everyone has a college that is a perfect fit for them, they just have to find it!
