Corey Van Landingham BA ’08 pens her third collection of poetry. Inspired by Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre, the book follows the first year of a marriage, inviting the reader in as a confidant while adhering to, but also subverting, traditional expectations of marriage. Van Landingham is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, as well as a Wallace Stegner Fellowship from Stanford University. Sarabande Books, 2024. 100 pages.

Corey Van Landingham BA ’08 has been awarded the 2023 Levis Reading Prize for her latest poetry collection Love Letter to Who Owns the Heavens. As part of her award, Van Landingham received $5,000 and was invited to read from her work at the James Branch Cabell Library at Virginia Commonwealth University in October 2023.

Corey Van Landingham BA ’08 teaches in the MFA program at the University of Illinois. She is the author of Antidote (Ohio State University Press, 2013) and Love Letter to Who Owns the Heavens (Tupelo Press, 2022). She is a Wallace Stegner Fellow and a recipient of the National Endowment of the Arts Fellowship. In March 2022, van Landingham visited Lewis & Clark to speak about the art of poetry and read excerpts of her work.

Corey Van Landingham BA ’08 has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment of the Arts, which she plans to use to fund her second book of poetry and to continue her pursuit of a doctoral degree in literature. Van Landingham’s work can be found in such publications as The Best American Poetry 2014, Boston Review, and the New Yorker. Her first book, Antidote (Ohio State University Press, 2013), was the winner of the 2012 Ohio State University Press/The Journal Award in Poetry.
