Simran Handa ’19*
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Major (Pre-Medical Student)
Simran is from Mukilteo, WA, a seaside town north of Seattle. Simran has been in SAA since 2017, during which she helped organize the Change Makers and Social Activists career panel. This year, Simran is excited to continue building meaningful connections between students and alumni, especially those interested in STEM since networking is so crucial to these fields.
Outside of SAA, Simran is involved in biology research on campus, LEAP mentoring with IME, SAAB tutoring for chemistry and biology, and peer tutoring at the Writing Center. She is also a student leader in Pre-Health Professions Club, Asian Student Union, and Gender Minorities in STEM. In her free time, she enjoys a daily yoga practice, baking, and watching movies.
