Nathaniel “Nat” Keefe BA ’00 and his band Hot Buttered Rum (which he started with Erik Yates BA ’00) headlined the Wild Rivers Music Festival in Brookings, Oregon, as well as the Blues, Brews & BBQ festival at Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville, Utah, in summer 2016. The San Francisco quintet plays rock music, with aspects of jazz, country, and folk. They’ve recently released a series of three EPs under the umbrella title “The Kite and the Key.”
