I’m Julia, a senior Rhetoric & Media Studies major from North Carolina. During my time at LC I’ve been fortunate to have lots of incredible experiences—I have worked for the Office of Student Leadership & Service planning service trips and leading our media efforts, served as the Marketing & Events Coordinator for Lambda Pi Eta, and worked in the Registrar’s Office. This past summer I began working as the External Communications Intern for EDP Renewables, a developer, owner, and operator of wind farms and solar parks across the U.S. and the world. In this position, I work to educate and excite folks about renewable energy, which is the coolest job ever. After I graduate in December, I hope to continue doing Communications work in the renewable energy industry, as I am deeply passionate about helping transition the energy market towards sustainable, healthy power sources and the investment in rural communities that comes with wind and solar projects.
