Moriah Bostian joined the Economics Department at Lewis & Clark in 2011. She completed her PhD in economics at Oregon State University in 2010 with fields of specialization in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics and Econometrics.
Her research interests include agri-environmental policy, energy and carbon policy, productivity analysis, integrated modeling, and water resources.
Dr. Bostian has received two Fulbright Scholar Awards (Sweden, 2018-2019; Finland, 2014-2015). She has also traveled as a visiting researcher to Umeä University Centre for Environmental and Resource Economics (CERE) (SE), VATT Institute for Economic Research (FI), University of Queensland (AU), and INRA UMR SMART (FR). Before coming to Lewis & Clark she worked on a USDA-funded project to assess the environmental effects of watershed conservation policies on agricultural lands.
