Katie Keith spent last summer in Portland writing a Java code simulation to study intergenerational wealth transfer in Medieval Europe. Last spring, she completed a language intensive program in Beijing, China and traveled around South East Asia. In the fall, she was selected as a “Project Pengyou Fellow” and attended a national leadership summit at Harvard University for students engaged in building bridges between the US and China. She is now President of the LC Chapter of Project Pengyou. As she completed her fourth season, she served as captain of LC’s varsity cross-country team. Currently, she is working on her thesis, “Optimal Control Theory with Applications in Economics,” and is enjoying becoming a better rock climber.
