Trisha Kumar

Class of 2016
Portland, Oregon

Trisha grew up in Mountain View, CA but now calls Portland home. She graduated in 2016 with a major in biology and a minor in theatre with a focus in dance. She dedicated much of her time at L&C to student leadership endeavors, including working as an RA, New Student Orientation Director, choreographer for Dance Extravaganza, production manager/stage manager/choreographer for Dance Y, Student Alumni Association Ambassador, Student Academic Affairs Board Representative, and a TA for the biology department. She also studied abroad on a Biology trip to New Zealand and still holds fond memories of her whānau there.

After graduating, she moved across the river with her now-husband, Nick, who she met freshman year at L&C! They own a house in NE and live there with their two retired racing greyhounds. She received her master’s degree in public health with a focus on health systems management and policy from the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health in 2021. She currently works as the community health program manager for Willamette Health Council, working to improve health through a community-centered lens in the Marion-Polk region.

Trisha is passionate about building and maintaining relationships, which is why she is proud to continually stay connected to her alma mater. She hopes to contribute to fostering a legacy of improvement and excellence for members of the L&C community, past, present, and future. Outside of work, she can be found in the yoga studio, at home sewing, or out and about dancing or birding!
