Azucena Morales Santos ’24 (she/her)
I am a first-generation college student from Hillsboro Oregon. My parents are first-generation immigrants from Oaxaca, Mexico. My parent’s background and my upbringing that is embedded in valuing community in education pushes to pursue my long-term goal of getting a doctorate. I am double majoring in Hispanic Studies and Sociology and Anthropology & minoring in ethnic studies. I know that I want to give back to my community by taking part in planning and facilitating the programing of events at L&C. At Lewis and Clark, I work with the Inclusion and multicultural (IME through the Great Expectations Mentorship program, co-leader for Native Student Union, Co- chair for the 19th Ray Warren symposium on race and ethnicity, Pamplin Fellow of the Pamplin Society, Student Alumni Ambassador and much more! I am dedicated to the work of fostering a safe and empowering space for BIPOC students. During my free time, you can find me watching Korean dramas.
