Aliya Markowitz ’24 (she/her)*

Sociology and Anthropology and Hispanic Studies double major

Aliya is from Tucson, Arizona and spent a year living in Israel before coming to Lewis & Clark. She is majoring in sociology/anthropology with a minor in Hispanic studies. She is looking forward to studying abroad in Valparaíso, Chile in the spring of 2023!

At Lewis & Clark Aliya is involved in Hillel- a Jewish organization on campus, the tiny house club, and works in the sustainability department as the Renewable Energy Fee Fund intern. She is passionate about the environment and hopes to one day hike the 800 mile Arizona Trail. Aliya enjoys going on hikes, spending time in the sun, and adventuring around Portland!
