Jason Flores
Psychology, BA ’19; Elementary Education, MAT ’20
Jason Flores (he/him) graduated from CAS in 2019 with a BA in psychology, and finished grad school in 2020 with a MAT & ESOL endorsement. After graduating, he started working as a sub in the Reynolds school district, and was hired to be a balanced-of-the-year teacher for a first grade class at Margaret Scott Elementary School. At the end of the school year he applied for both fourth- and fifth-grade positions in M. Scott, while he started teaching summer school at Alder Elementary in the same district. About two weeks after the last school year ended he was hired for the fifth-grade position for which he had applied, and that is where he is today. Jason is also on the Race & Equity team in his school, and meeting the challenges he faces each day with the confidence of knowing that LC did a solid job of preparing him.
Teaching is located in room 402 of Rogers Hall on the Graduate Campus.
