I am a retired management consultant who has worked in and around health care my whole career, mostly in Human Resources. I graduated in psychology from Lewis & Clark and have a PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota. Health care has been at the heart of a career that began in a large metropolitan hospital, then in a Fortune 100 company and finally management consulting. At least half of those years were in the health care benefits field where I had opportunities to lower barriers and improve quality of care, working on issues upstream from the clinical encounter.
