Deborah Bail BA ’71, JD ’74 writes: “I have been an Idaho State District Judge since 1983 when I was appointed to the general jurisdiction trial bench as the first woman to be a district judge in Idaho. At that time, I was an assistant United States Attorney for the District of Idaho. As a pro tem, I was the first woman to sit with the Idaho Supreme Court and the Idaho Court of Appeals. I have also served as a treatment court judge. In July 2021, I will be receiving the Idaho State Bar’s Outstanding Jurist award. I have moved from active to senior judge status as of June 1, 2021. I have a daughter who works with Micron Technology.”
