Jerry Harris

Jerry Harris BA ’55, MME ’57, January 19, 2021, age 87. Harris played in the Portland Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and Portland Symphony while in college. He went on to teach high school music and served as director of the women’s choirs at Franklin High School in Portland. Harris helped drive music programming and education at a number of Oregon schools. Survivors include wife Judy; children Elaine, Clark, and Jeffrey; stepdaughter Cynthia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
