Favorite spot on campus: It’s hard to pick just one! Right now I enjoy walking along the Professor Evan T Williams Memorial Tree Walk. It is a bit like a guided meditation while learning about over 20 different species of native trees.

Little-known fact about me: My favorite color is green.

Piece of advice for students in the college search process: Spend time on your own reflecting on what you want from your future college. I recommend writing your thoughts down on paper or doing a free write in your Notes app. What sort of weather do you want to live in while in college? If you wanted to get off campus for the weekend, where could you go? And how accessible is it to get there? What kinds of clubs or affinity groups could you see yourself joining? Check out course catalogs - are there courses you’re already excited to take? Check back in with your free write as your college search progresses and allow yourself grace to change your mind about what you’re looking for!

Favorite place to spend time in Portland: Sellwood Riverfront Park is great any time of year! Great swimming on a hot day or a beautiful stroll with a hot beverage when it is chilly.

If I was stranded on a desert island, I would want these three things:

- drinking water
- a never-ending book
- a big sun hat

If I didn’t work in Admissions, I would be: Waking up early to work in a bakery! On the first gray, rainy Northwest weekend of the Fall you’ll probably find me in my kitchen perfecting my biscuit recipe.
