Jake Longstreth BA ’99, a painter in the Los Angeles area, was interviewed by Metropolis magazine about his monograph exhibition at Nino Mier Gallery in West Hollywood in fall 2021. Longstreth’s recent work aims to investigate and portray the ubiquity of retail chains in suburban landscapes.

Jake Longstreth BA ’99, described by Inside Hook Magazine as “the renaissance dude America needs,” is a cohost of the cult-hit podcast Time Crisis, as well as a successful painter. Since earning an MFA at the California College of the Arts, Longstreth’s work has been frequently exhibited at galleries in San Francisco and New York. His work has also been used as cover art for prominent musicians, including Dirty Projectors. In addition, Longstreth himself has played and released music with his group, Mountain Brews.
