Bio

My name is Blake Tellinghusen and I am from Spokane Valley in Eastern Washington. I came to Lewis and Clark because I was drawn to the diverse student body, the small class sizes, the amazing city of Portland, and the opportunity to fully pursue my academic interests while also continuing my baseball career. I’m currently declared as a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major and hope to attend medical school after graduation. Outside of classes, you can find me working as a TA for Intro Chemistry Lab, doing research with Professor Norma Velazquez in the Biology Department, where we work to annotate the DNA of different fruit fly species, or on the field for the Lewis and Clark Baseball team. And when I’m not on campus, you’ll find me snowboarding, rock climbing, or anything else outdoors!
