What did you choose Lewis & Clark:
I chose Lewis & Clark, not only because the campus is breathtaking but also because it provides students with an intimate, personalized education. LC offers small class sizes which has prompted me to establish close relationships with my professors and peers. Additionally, LC offers a liberal arts program, which provides students with a well-rounded education. I have explored many courses from various departments that I have found meaningful and have helped me narrow the search for my major.

Favorite place to eat:
There are so many great food spots in Portland, but my favorite go-to restaurant when I’m craving Mexican cuisine is ¿Por Qué No?Taqueria. The food there is delicious and it reminds me of home.

Three random facts:

  1. I snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia last summer.
  2. I am the proud owner of two dogs, Coco and Pebbles.
  3. I am a musical enthusiast and can recite the entire Hamilton soundtrack.

What does diversity and inclusion mean to you:
I believe diversity is about embracing each other’s differences and about learning what makes us unique. Inclusion provides an equal playing field by supporting and empowering those differences. Recognizing diversity and integrating inclusion allows people and groups to feel welcomed, socially accepted and heard.

What are you listening to/reading right now:
I’m currently listening to Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding, The Weeknd’s After Hours, Bad Bunny’s YHLQMDLG, and of course musicals like Hamilton.

Things you’re involved with on/off campus:
Some of the clubs and organizations I’m involved in at LC include Student Leadership & Service, Bachata Club and Gente Latina Unida. I also serve as a Spanish tutor with SAAB Tutoring.
