John Stadter

John Stadter graduated from Lewis and Clark in 1979 with majors in Economics and Business Administration. He has navigated his career in a variety of early stage and entrepreneurial companies, all with a common theme of technology. As a Controller, VP of Finance, CFO or President he has been involved in 14 unique mergers, acquisitions, sales or VC funding of his companies.

In 2001, John was one of the principals who started ComSpan, a telecommunications company in Roseburg, Oregon that delivers phone service and high speed internet to the community. As the company grew, they partnered with a large Canadian company to build fiber to the home projects in Bandon, Coquille and Myrtle Point.

In 2005, John carved out the customer service and support arm of Comspan to form what would become First Call Resolution. He joined forces with an old friend, and they grew FCR into a multinational company employing over 2,500 colleagues in Oregon, Montana, Mexico and Poland. It sold in 2019 and he continues to serve on its board and in an advisory capacity.

John lives in Eugene with his wife Maureen and they have one son who resides in Tucson Az while attending the U of A.
