Most meaningful service/leadership experience: I was a counselor at Camp Laurel this summer, all-trans camp with kids ages 10-17. I led nine 15-17-year-old boys, and every single one of them were incredible and so intelligent in their own ways. It was also amazing being around over 50 trans people everyday for a few weeks and I still have great friends from the camp. I hope to go back and attend again in the summer of 2020.
Why I’m basically awesome: I am a coordinator for Queer Student Union and an RA in Lower Odell!
SLS Initiatives: Working efficiently with Sexual Minority Youth Resource Center (SMYRC) to allow Lewis & Clark students to volunteer and help the Portland Queer community.
Student Leadership and Service is located in room 237 of Templeton on the Undergraduate Campus.
