Favorite spot on campus: The reflecting pool. On a clear day, you can look over the Estate Gardens and see Mount Hood in the distance.
Little-known fact about me: I’ve previously taught every grade level except 5th grade. My favorite was kindergarten.
Piece of advice for students in the college search process: Trust your gut. We go to college for lots of reasons, but you want to be sure that the college you’re attending is a place that’s going to provide the college experience you desire. Also, you’ll likely be living there for 4 years. The best way to get a feel for whether a college is a good fit for you is to visit campus.
Favorite place to spend time in Portland: The Grotto is home to a 62 acre Catholic sanctuary that sits atop a 110 foot cliff. The grounds are a sublime spot for relaxation and reflection.
If I was stranded on a desert island, I would want these three things: My dog, my cat and La Croix.
If I didn’t work in Admissions, I would be: An entomologist. I’m fascinated by the beauty and complexity of insects and how much their existence contributes to the well-being of our planet.
Admissions is located in Frank Manor House on the Undergraduate Campus.
