Tuse Mahenya ’21 (she/her)*
English major, Political Economy minor
Tuse is from Dar es Salaam, the coastal capital city in Tanzania. She loves to travel, and that, among other things, is what brought her to Lewis & Clark! She went to high school at UWCSA in Swaziland where she was a part of TEDxUWCSA. This inspired her to organize a TEDxLewis&Clark in Fall 2019.
Other than SAA, she works for Annual Giving at Phonathon, which has shown her how important alumni participation is to the lives of current students. She hopes to help improve that engagement between students and alumni as an SAA ambassador. Some other extracurricular activities she is a part of include: Student Philanthropy Council, ASLC Auditory Staff, Student for Cultural Inclusion in Theatre (SCIT) and the Meridian Editorial Board.
