Blossoming Lotus

While Blossoming Lotus is a bit pricier than the other bowl places in Portland, it offers a wide range of vegan food to choose from, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

The restaurant that once started off in a yoga studio in the Pearl District has opened a full-fledged location in NE Portland on 15th and Broadway continues to serve wholesome, delicious meals for lunch, dinner, and brunch.

I typically order one of their bowls, which consists of brown rice, veggies, avocado, and some secret delicious sauces that really complete the bowl.  The menu also listed items such as quesadillas, salads, soups, and “live” meals which are supposedly uncooked.

Overall, the bowl is pretty tasty, flavorful, and filling considering there is no meat in it.

Prices at the NE location range from about $8 to $20, depending on what is ordered, but an entree will run about $10-$15.  Lunch prices are a little less, and wraps and pizza are added to the mid-day menu.

While Blossoming Lotus is a bit pricier than the other bowl places in Portland, it offers a wide range of vegan food to choose from, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and hospitable, and the food is great.  It’s also a great chance to experience some types of food that Portland is known for, and to step outside of your “food box” if you are stuck in a sandwich/pizza/burrito rut.
