Whittlesey, Mr. Dennis J.

Dennis J. Whittlesey has practiced law in the District of Columbia for more than 30 years, with a current focus on the development of economic projects for Indian tribes, including casinos, throughout the United States. His clients have included American and Canadian Indian tribes and private developers involved in projects as partners with tribes. Mr. Whittlesey earned his BA from the University of Oklahoma and his JD and LLM from Georgetown University Law Center. Early in his career he was a trial lawyer in the U. S. Department of Justice. When asked about serving on the Board of Visitors, Whittlesey said, “It has been great fun, a pleasure and an hour to be able to work with this school.” Mr. Whittlesey received the Honorary Alumnus Award from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2001.
