No student may use or access any form of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology during a quiz, midterm, or final exam, unless expressly authorized by the professor teaching the class for which the exam is being taken.


Exam Type:   Non-Secure Blocking Internet

Non-Secure Blocking Internet: The exam-taker has access to all computer files but not to the internet. Students will not be able to access E-Textbooks.


Availability of Exam Questions:

A paper copy of exam questions to be provided to students. Exam to be taken on campus ONLY.


Authorized Materials and Secondary Devices:

No secondary devices are permitted. Internet will be disabled on the laptop used to take the exam. A student may consult the following items in hard copy or electronically on the laptop they are using to take the exam: the course packet, any handouts I have distributed during the semester, and any of the student’s own notes, including the student’s own outline. Students cannot consult any other materials during the exam.

No secondary devices permitted during the exam. This includes but is not limited to: 2nd computer, phones, smart watches, headphones, electronic dictionaries or any other device that might be capable of connecting to the internet.

Additional Instructions for Students:

While taking the exam, do not communicate with anyone about the exam (other than the Registrar’s Office in the event an unforeseen problem arises). After completing the exam, do not discuss the substance of the exam with, or within earshot of, any other student who has not also completed the exam.
