No student may use or access any form of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology during a quiz, midterm, or final exam, unless expressly authorized by the professor teaching the class for which the exam is being taken.


Exam Type:   Secure

Secure: The exam-taker has no access to computer files or to the internet.


Availability of Exam Questions:

A paper copy of the exam questions to be provided to students. Exam to be taken on campus ONLY.


Authorized Materials and Secondary Devices:

Hard copy materials permitted in the exam:
You may bring into the exam and use the following hard copy materials:
• Your own outline or other notes that you have written (which may include any printed copies of PowerPoint slides that I have made available to you).
• Publications in printed form, such as a hard copy of the casebook, the Rules supplement, and other published textbooks or student aids.

You may not use any electronic materials, whether stored on your computer or on the internet. (This includes an electronic version of the casebook.) The Examsoft program will be set to exclude access to electronic materials on your computer and on the internet, so you will not be able to use the computer on which you are answering the exam to access these materials. You are also not permitted to bring into the exam any other computer or device for the purpose of accessing materials in electronic form.


No secondary devices permitted during the exam This includes but is not limited to: 2nd computer, phones, smart watches, headphones, electronic dictionaries or any other device that might be capable of connecting to the internet.
