No student may use or access any form of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology during a quiz, midterm, or final exam, unless expressly authorized by the professor teaching the class for which the exam is being taken.

Non-Secure Blocking Internet: The exam-taker has access to all computer files but not to the internet.


Availability of Exam Questions:

A paper copy of exam questions to be provided to students. Exam to be taken on campus ONLY.


Authorized Materials and Secondary Devices:

This is an open-book examination. Students can utilize outside materials, including written notes, books, and the hard drive of their computer. Students cannot access the internet or a secondary device. 


No secondary devices permitted during the exam This includes but is not limited to: 2nd computer, phones, smart watches, headphones, electronic dictionaries or any other device that might be capable of connecting to the internet.

Additional Instructions for Students: WORD LIMIT: 4,500 words total. This means that your total answer for the two essays combined shall not exceed 4,500 words. Your Examplify template consists of one answer window to make it easy to keep track of your word count. Answer both questions in this window and be sure to label your answers to match the exam questions. You can see your word count by clicking on the page icon next to the character count in the middle or bottom of your screen (depending on which version of Examplify you are using). Examinations that exceed 4,500 words are subject to a grade penalty.
