One L&C Champion: Adam Ferrel
Meet Building Maintenance Lead Engineer Adam Ferrel.
Adam grew up in Lynnwood, WA, and then moved to Missoula, MT, where he studied at University of Montana and received his Bachelor’s in Organismal Biology, Ecology, and Wildlife Biology. For many years Adam conducted scientific research with Sage-Grouse, megafauna, and salmon habitat recovery before he found an avid dislike for writing grants.
Adam moved to Portland in 2014 and began his career here at Lewis & Clark just a year later. He has two children (age seven and three) with his wife Jolie, which takes up most of his free time.
He enjoys hunting and fishing, as well as long walks on the beach… as long as it yields clams or crabs. He found his passion for woodworking and milling his own lumber when he moved to Oregon, and is pleased that his current position at the college allows him to explore and nurture that passion.
Adam considers himself a “sassy Virgo” who really enjoys aiding in providing a great college experience and working environment for all those that call LC home.
