Announcing Sign-ups for COVID Booster Dose Clinic On-Campus on Tuesday, March 1

Dear Students:

The Lewis & Clark Health Service will be offering a COVID-19 booster dose clinic for students on Tuesday, March 1, from 9 to 11:30 am in Albany 218. We have a limited number of vaccine doses available, so students who are eligible for a dose should sign up as soon as possible through the Health Information Portal. You are eligible for a booster if:

  • It’s been 5 months since your last dose of Moderna vaccine, and you are at least 18 years old; or

  • It’s been 5 months since your last dose of Pfizer vaccine;

  • It’s been 2 months since your dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and you are at least 18 years old.

The clinic is free. Please note that we will only have the Moderna vaccine available. It is OK to mix and match vaccine doses received in the United States.

Some reminders:

  • Try hard to find your hard-copy vaccine record card in advance of the clinic. If you can’t find your hard-copy card, bring a picture of your card, e.g., on your phone. If you don’t have your hard-copy card, and you don’t have a picture of your card, please contact healthed@lclark.edu for guidance.

  • Be prepared to wait for at least 15 and up to 30 minutes in our observation area after your injection.

  • Wear appropriate clothing for the nurses to easily reach your upper deltoid/shoulder area (sleeveless or short sleeve clothing).

  • Please be hydrated with plenty of water and have food in your system. Do not fast prior to the clinic.

This clinic is designed primarily for students who have very recently become eligible for their booster dose. All students who are currently eligible for their booster dose must comply with the College’s vaccination policy by Thursday, February 24, either by uploading documentation of their booster, or by having a vaccine exemption petition or deadline extension request approved by Health Promotion & Wellness staff.

Direct any questions about the March 1 booster dose clinic to the Health Service at health@lclark.edu. Direct any questions about compliance with the College’s vaccine policy to covid19info@lclark.edu.

We look forward to serving you next week!
