The Center for Social Change and Community Involvement
Are you interested in creating social change, but not sure how to get started? Do you have an interest in developing your leadership skills? Want to go on a service-learning trip during Spring Break? You have come to the right place! The Center for Social Change and Community Involvement is brand new on campus. We have four pillars within the Center: L&C Volunteers, Leadership Development, Alternative Breaks, and Immersion Programs. We launched our L&C Volunteers Program during NSO Day of Service. Various community partners across the Portland metro area came together on campus and worked with the class of 2025 to complete 24 different service-learning projects. We completed 1,800 hours of community service in 1 day! This is just the start of the impact we can have together as the L&C community. We are looking forward to working with you all as we start to roll out the other pillars of our Center a nd continue to offer additional L&C Volunteers programming and events. Keep an eye out for future opportunities with our Leadership Development Program, Alternative Breaks, and Immersion programs. Come say hello and introduce yourself. We are located on the third floor of Templeton by the Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement Office (IME). Looking forward to meeting you all! -the Center Team, Erin, Katie & Dr. Kay Find us on social media @theCenterLC For more information email: leadserve@lclark.edu
