SPAN 230 -SP21: Hispanic Literature in Translation - Borges, Cortazar, Valenzuela
Taught in English. No background in Spanish or Hispanic Literature required.
This course will focus on the short stories of celelebrated Argentine authors Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar, and Luisa Valenzuela. Through these rich texts, we will explore and discuss numerous topics, including philosophy, literary theory, history, religion, time and space, jazz, magical realism, vomiting bunnies, and many more.
The course is taught in English. No background in Spanish or Hispanic Literature required.
No prerequisites, open to all.
