New from The Pioneer Log: Polling + The PioPod

October 07, 2020

Dear colleagues,

I write to call your attention to two new offerings from The Pioneer Log (still publishing and stronger than ever, even in COVID times!), led this year by Nic Nerli ’21 (Editor-in-Chief) and Ihsaan Mohammed ’22 (Managing Editor):

First, we have begun a polling initiative, beginning with “PioPoll: U.S. Presidential Election.” In its first-ever PioPoll, The Pioneer Log is interested in learning how the Lewis & Clark community is thinking and voting as Nov. 3 nears. This short survey is one way we aim to document this historic election. Most questions are optional and respondents may skip a question for any reason. All responses will remain anonymous and collective results will be published in The Pioneer Log’s Oct. 30 issue. Any questions or concerns may be directed to piolog@lclark.edu.

Just to emphasize, this poll is for all LC community members (anyone with a valid LC email). We’d love to see as much faculty/staff/administrator participation as possible!

Second, please tune in to our podcast, The PioPod, on Spotify. The PioPod’s host and PioLog Director of Broadcasting is Charlotte Powers ’21. It covers timely news specific to Lewis & Clark in an engaging and fun format. You do not need a subscription to listen.

Finally, please do pick up an issue of the latest issue of The PioLog itself, on newsstands in Howard, Miller, and Templeton, and online here.

Please support our amazing student journalists by engaging with these new initiatives!

Sincerely,

Molly
