The Isaac Clark Memorial Chess Tournament is a tournament for children grades K - 8 in the greater Portland area. This year about 40 students attended the tournament and had a great time! Members of the Lewis & Clark College Math Club coordinate this event with Chess for Success from Portland.
Isaac Clark was a mathematics and physics student at Lewis and Clark who died tragically in an accident during his senior year. He was greatly admired and respected in our community and he loved chess. In his honor, the Math Club hosts this annual tournament.
