WellNotes: SH 101 February

Wellness notes for February

Greetings Students!

We hope you had a great break and a productive first few weeks back. Welcome to February’s WellNotes!  Want to learn more about talking with a partner about safer sex, to nap or not to nap, or find out what Batman has to do with body image?  Then check out this month’s issue of StudentHealth101.

We are working with researchers from Johns Hopkins and Kaiser to recruit students to participate in a research study.  See below for details.

Paid Research Study Opportunity for Students About Relationships
Have you or any of your friends been in an unhealthy or unsafe relationship?

Help develop a safety-planning website/app aimed at supporting female- identified students with a partner who is controlling, abusive, or unsafe…or students who have a friend in a relationship that they are concerned about.  The MyPlan study is looking for students age 18-24 to complete three 30-45 minute surveys, and will provide $100 in Amazon gift cards for your time. Check out myplanstudy.org for details.

Also coming in this month, an opportunity to participate in a survey that will help us better understand the health and well-being of students at L&C.   Look for an invitation in your L&C email inbox from the American College Health Association in late February.  The subject line will read ACHA-NCHA II-Web at Lewis & Clark College.  There will be a drawing for Visa gift cards for those who participate.

Have a great February and don’t forget to read StudentHealth101.

Be well,

Melissa Osmond
