President Obama nominates Winfield Ong ’85 for federal bench

Earlier this month, President Obama nominated Lewis & Clark Law School alum Winfield D. Ong ’85 to serve on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

Earlier this month, President Obama nominated Lewis & Clark Law School alum Winfield D. Ong ’85 to serve on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

“I am pleased to nominate Winfield Ong to serve on the United States District Court bench,” said President Obama. “I am confident he will serve the American people with distinction.”

Winfield D. Ong has been the Criminal Chief for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana since 2014, and he has served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division since 1996.
