Interested in finding an off-campus position this coming fall semester and looking to serve as a mentor to high school students? Check out this opportunity!
Dear LC students,
We are currently hiring 15 Community Educators and 5 Team Leaders for the 2015-16 Academic-Year CELS Program. 
CELS Community Educators are paid $9.50 an hour ($10.00 an hour for returning community educators) and work a total of five hours a week guiding a group of high school students through a community-based inquiry project. CELS Team Leaders are paid $9.50 an hour ($10.00 for returning CELS students) and work a total of 7.5 hours a week leading their peers and a group of high school students through a community-based inquiry project. You can find the application here: https://jobs.lclark.edu/postings/5081
 
We are looking for students who have a passion for teaching and experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds. Strong applicants also have a foundation in STEM and are able (and excited) to share this knowledge with a group of high school students. Students from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM fields (African American, Latino/a, and Native Students) are encouraged to apply! 
Students would work in a team of 4 LC students to conduct an inquiry project at a local school with a group of 10-20 high school students. Transportation is provided.
