Passport to Leadership
With over 70 percent of our students living on campus, Lewis & Clark is always bustling with activity. Students learn to lead in a variety of ways: by directing outdoor trips, serving as resident advisors, working in student government, participating in service events, and even running the Rusty Nail, our student-run co-op.
We offer more than 100 student clubs and organizations—everything from club sports like Ultimate Frisbee to LEAP, a peer mentor program—giving every new Pioneer the chance to get involved, hone their interests, and discover new avenues for growth and exploration. Over 20 percent of the student body also competes in varsity athletics. Lewis & Clark gives student-athletes the opportunity to learn valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and leadership.
In addition, our residential communities provide opportunities for social interaction, facilitate personal growth, and support students’ academic pursuits. Students make their homes in multiple living-learning communities, including Forest (outdoor pursuits), Platt East (the global village), and Stewart (holistic wellness).
