Eighteen outstanding Mathematical Sciences students were inducted into the national mathematics honor society, Pi Mu Epsilon.

Eighteen outstanding Mathematical Sciences students were inducted into the national mathematics honor society, Pi Mu Epsilon. This was the 5th annual induction ceremony of Lewis & Clark College’s  Oregon Eta Chapter.

Pi Mu Epsilon is dedicated to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding. To promote mathematics, the National Pi Mu Epsilon Council sponsors an annual conference in conjunction with the Mathematics Association of America’s (MAA) annual MathFest.

Professor Paul T. Allen gave an inspiring mathematical talk.

The photo shows 16 of the 18 new members, 2 of the members inducted last year who are now seniors, and the 6 mathematics professors.

Congratulations!
