Career Paths

Summer internships prepare students for life after Lewis & Clark.

The key outcomes of a liberal arts education—the abilities to employ analytical reasoning, think critically and creatively, and collaborate across disciplines—allow Lewis & Clark students to pursue diverse career paths. To explore future job possibilities, over half of our students participate in internships. We help them connect to positions locally, nationally, and around the globe where they can learn more about the workplace and acquire invaluable experience.

This summer, 46 students were able to take advantage of outstanding internship opportunities with the help of the Stephanie Fowler and Irving Levin Internship Award, which provides money for living costs and related expenses, and the Miller Internship Award, which funds students engaged in scientific research in the mathematical and natural sciences. Below, three summer interns discuss working in their fields of interest: health care, nonprofit athletics education, and fashion.
