Welcome Back Pioneers

New Student Orientation helps the Class of 2018 settle in to Lewis & Clark.

New Student Orientation is an exciting time at Lewis & Clark, with new members of the Class of 2018 and transfer students arriving on Palatine Hill from around the world.

This year, the college is welcoming 550 students—78 percent of them in the top quarter of their graduating class and 76 percent with a high school GPA of 3.6 or higher.

Roughly a quarter are U.S. students of color. Some 5 percent are international students, representing 20 countries. The new class comes from states as diverse as New York, California, Florida, and Alaska, representing 38 states in all.
