Morgan S. Odell Professor of Humanities John Callahan discusses the risks and rewards of posthumous publications in this Wall Street Journal article. The literary executor for Ralph Ellison (1914-1994), Callahan worked with a 2,000-page manuscript Ellison left behind to edit the forthcoming novel, Three Days Before the Shooting. Published by Random House, the novel will be released January 26, 2010.
