Allow us to introduce Lia Comerford, Earthrise’s new Legal Fellow. A 2013 graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School, Lia has been passionate about public interest environmental law since interning at the Wildlife Conservation Society as an undergraduate at American University. During law school, Lia focused on both domestic and international environmental law and gained practical experience through several volunteer and intern positions, including internships with the Sierra Club San Diego Chapter and Earthrise. Lia also helped write an amicus brief on Clean Water Act judicial review for the case Decker v. NEDC, decided by the United States Supreme Court in Spring 2013. Lia spends her free time outdoors enjoying the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, doing yoga, and playing with her dog, cats, and chickens. A very warm welcome to Lia!
