Faculty and students visit new practicum site

The Center at Heron Hill is a nature-based therapy and education program utilizing the principles of ecopsychology and equine-assisted growth and learning.

On Saturday, July 13 Dr. Thomas Doherty and students in the Ecopsychology in Counseling Certificate (EPIC) program visited The Center at Heron Hill Eco/Equine Therapy facility in Canby to enjoy a summer barbecue and live music. The event was held in recognition of the people involved in developing The Centerincluding Dr. Doherty and students in the EPIC program.

The Center at Heron Hill is a nature-based therapy and education program utilizing the principles of ecopsychology and equine-assisted growth and learning. 

The Center currently offers multiple programs including equine and nature-based therapy education, mindfulness retreats for families and couples, and more. Starting this fall Heron Hill will be a practicum site for students in the EPIC program.
