The community of students with disabilities is one that often gets overlooked here at Lewis & Clark. The Office of Multicultural Affairs in conjunction with Student Support Services seeks to foster a greater discourse on what it means to identify as having a disability and the pervading stigmas that exist to continually marginalize. Join us for a panel discussion consisting of students who struggle both directly and indirectly with these issues followed by an open discussion.
This event will engage different types of learning styles and will be an excellent example of what an accommodating lecture and event should look like. It will be beneficial for faculty and staff to attend to witness these aspects. It will also be beneficial for faculty and staff to hear what students with disabilities or family members with disabilities have to say about what it means to have a disability and why it relates to diversity.
When: Wednesday April 10, 4 p.m.
Where: The Watzek Library Classroom
