Amelia J. Wilcox is an assistant professor with term in the psychology department at Lewis & Clark. She holds a master’s of science from Dominican College and a PhD in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. She formerly worked as a clinical professor at the School of Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco, as a member of the medical staff at San Francisco General Hospital, and as an attending psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry Consultation and Liaison Service and the Neuropsychology Service at San Francisco General Hospital.

As an alumna, Wilcox has served several terms on the Board of Alumni since 1982, including as board president from 2009 to 2011. She has volunteered with the L&C Network, the Alumni Choir, and has assisted the admissions department. Her efforts to reach out and connect alumni with the college—whether they had just graduated or were members of the Albany Society—have brought a new era of alumni reengagement and participation.

Wilcox is a second-generation Pioneer and a fourth-generation Portlander. Her father, John Wilcox ’54, established the Susan Wilcox Memorial Scholarship Fund for students in English in memory of his wife. Her brother, James Wilcox ’85; uncle, Fred Wilcox ’57; and cousins, Kim Singer ’71 and Susan Singer ’74, are all graduates of the college.

She is married to Jim Mol. Their daughter, Phoebe, was born in 1998.
