American Psychological Minority Fellowship Program

The principal aim of the MFP is to provide financial support, professional development activities, and guidance to promising doctoral students and postdoctoral trainees with the goal of moving them toward high achievement in areas related to ethnic minority behavioral health research or services.

The APA MFP is an innovative, comprehensive, and coordinated training and career development program that promotes psychological and behavioral outcomes of ethnic minority communities. MFP is committed to increasing the number of ethnic minority professionals in the field and enhancing our understanding of the life experiences of ethnic minority communities.

The principal aim of the MFP is to provide financial support, professional development activities, and guidance to promising doctoral students and postdoctoral trainees with the goal of moving them toward high achievement in areas related to ethnic minority behavioral health research or services.

Eligibility: Applicants must be a United States citizen or permanent resident, an ethnic minority, must demonstrate a commitment to careers in psychology related to ethnic minority mental health. Must be enrolled in a full-time, APA approved doctoral program by the time the fellowship is awarded.
