Digital entrepreneur Amber Case BA ’08 has been busy since graduation—speaking at MIT, delivering a keynote at South by Southwest (SXSW), and developing the next generation of mobile location services.
Case appears in Inc. magazine’s list of the 30 Coolest Entrepreneurs Under 30 alongside the founders of Pinterest and Spotify.
Case cofounded Geoloqi.com, “a key technology behind a platform that manages location-based services for enterprises, app developers, and government services. Among other uses, applications built with Geoloqi’s toolkit are helping U.S. government agencies track people who’ve been sent into dangerous locations.”
In 2010, Fast Company magazine named her one of the most influential women in tech. This spring, National Geographic awarded her a grant through its Emerging Explorers program, which recognizes and supports uniquely gifted and inspiring young adventurers, scientists, photographers, and storytellers.
Learn more about Case—who credits Deborah Heath, associate professor of anthropology, for introducing her to the concept of cyborg anthropology—in this feature from Lewis & Clark’s Chronicle magazine.
