Margaret Williams ‘11, International Affairs major and Russian minor, received a Fulbright English Teaching award for the 2011-12 academic year.

Beginning this September, Margaret will teach English language and American culture at a university level in Khabarovsk, Russia. Margaret spent the fall semester of her junior year studying in St. Petersburg. She considers her overseas experience and her internship at the World Affairs Council of Oregon as the most defining factors for her decision to apply for a Fulbright. She plans to apply for a graduate school in international relations after returning from Russia, so she can work later at the State Department as a Foreign Service officer or as a policy analyst. She hopes that her Fulbright experience in Russia will help her accomplish these goals.
