The Housing Lottery is scheduled for Th ursday\, November 5th\, between 9am-4pm in the Campus Living Office on th e first floor of Templeton Campus Center. Current residents who wish to a pply for a change of hall for Spring semester should plan to participate. Residents will be asked to complete a form requesting a change-this will require that you have given some thought to where you would like to move . You may specify a preferred roommate and/or particular floor within a b uilding. If you're applying to move to a Theme Floor\, you will be requir ed to complete a Theme Floor Application which are available online by cl icking on the Housing Forms link. (Themes include: Akin/Multicultural Hall\, Stewart/Wellness Hall\, Howar d/Outdoor Pursuits\, Platt/Visual and Performing Arts\, Copeland/PEAS (Gr een) Floor.) In addition\, you will be asked to complete a Roommate Preference Shee t to assist the AD is making suitable roommate assignments. Then\, yo u will draw a lottery number. That number will place you among the other current residents who have participated in the lottery.
During th e week of November 9\, the Campus Living staff will meet to complete hous ing assignments for students to residence halls. In addition to the lotte ry participants\, we will also assign housing to students currently on L& amp\;C sponsored overseas or domestic programs\, students returning to L& amp\;C from a Leave of Absence and new students entering the College. Not ification of your Spring 2010 hall assignment will be posted outside the Office of Campus Living following the Thanksgiving break.
ADs wil l make specific room assignments within their complexes based on the info rmation you provided at the lottery. Final room assignments for lottery p articipants will be available from the Office of Campus Living on Decembe r 11\, 2009.
In order to facilitate a smooth move-in period in Ja nuary\, some coordination at the end of Fall semester will be required. I f a change of room is granted\, you will be asked to box (and clearly mar k) all your belongings and store them in the trunk room of the building ( not room) you are moving to. You must also check out of your current room with your RA and complete the RCR that you signed at the beginning of th e year. Please remember that all residents must vacate the halls by 3pm o n Thursday\, December 17th\, so you'll need to plan ahead.
